The Vortex® Handslide Gate™ is designed specifically to handle dry bulk solids in gravity flow conveying. A full flow orifice provides unrestricted conveying of material with no disk or ledges to impede flow or cause material bridging.

Non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powders, pellets, and granules. Modifications are available for handling corrosive materials and/or for wash-down.

Mounting studs are removed and special mounting holes matching an ANSI pattern are provided for bolting through the gate flange. Not all holes are able to be used.
Modifications are made allowing 250 F (121 C) continuous to 300 F (149 C) intermittent service.
Modifications have been made to allow for continuous operation at 400 F (204 C) and intermittent operation at 450 F (232 C).
The gate blade is electropolished. Polyethylene (PET or UHMW) pressure plate seals are used in place of nylon. *Additional modifications are available depending on the application.
