The Vortex® Gravity Vee Diverter™ valve is designed to divert dry bulk solids in a gravity-fed conveying system. The design allows material to flow through both outlets simultaneously, through one outlet at a time, or to completely shut off the flow.

• Allows material to flow through both outlet chutes simultaneously, through each chute individually, or to completely shut off the material flow
• Replaceable bonnet seals for in-line maintenance
• Live-loaded, wear-compensating hard polymer bonnet and side seals
• The seals in each gate are protected by a series of deflectors and retainers to reduce wear and extend service life
• Positive seal against materials and dust across the closed port(s) and to the atmosphere
• Mechanically self-cleans its seals with each actuation
• No pinch points or exposed moving parts for safety
• No internal cavities to prevent wedging, lodging, and spoilage
• Flange and outlet chute angle options to fit existing footprints

Non-abrasive to moderately abrasive powders, pellets, and granules. Modifications are available for handling sticky and/or corrosive materials and for wash-down.

Available in square or rectangular sizes. Round transition options are available

Standard flange, ANSI #125/150, DIN PN10. Custom flanges are available.

180°F | 80°C for a standard gate, with modifications that allow for temperatures up to 400°F | 205°C

6061-T6 aluminum, 304 or 316L stainless steel

304 or 316L stainless steel, carbon steel

PET, hardened steel, 25% glass-filled PTFE, stainless steel, and bronze are available upon request

The gate blade is electropolished. Polyethylene (PET or UHMW) pressure plate seals are used in place of nylon.

Modifications have been made to allow for continuous operation at 250 F (121 C) and intermittent operation at up to 300 F (149 C).

Modifications have been made to allow for continuous operation at 400 F (204 C) and intermittent operation at 450 F (232 C).

Hardened steel rollers replace standard nylon rollers, and an additional bonnet seal protector is installed.

The bonnet is manufactured with solid, gasketed covers. (This allows the valve to be purged with air.)
