By mounting SITRANS TS300 to the outside of pipes without welding, the clamp-on design keeps lines unobstructed and allows fast recalibration. Achieve in-line accuracy without breaking the process seal. EHEDG-compliant construction minimizes disturbances and reduces validation. Alternatively, a modular solution is available to install the sensor directly in the process tube if clamp-on does not fit.

The clamp-on design allows for quick, welding-free mounting directly onto your pipes. This eliminates the need for process interruptions and prevents dead spaces, helping to ensure a perfectly hygienic, unobstructed line.

Thanks to a modular assembly and replaceable measuring inserts, maintenance and recalibration are fast and straightforward. Service the sensor without breaking the process seal, significantly reducing downtime and costs.

Built to withstand harsh washdowns and steam sterilization, the sensor features high-quality stainless-steel components, IP67-rated electrical connections, and temperature-resistant plastic collars for thermal decoupling.

The sensor easily integrates with Siemens head-mounted transmitters (like the SITRANS TH series), supporting 4…20 mA, HART and PROFIBUS PA communication protocols for effortless connection to your control system.

The clamp-on design is highly adaptable to a wide variety of pipe dimensions. It fits smaller pipes ranging from 4 to 57 mm (0.16 to 2.24 inches) using a specialized, temperature-resistant pipe collar. For larger lines, it can accommodate pipe diameters from 50 to 200 mm (1.97 to 7.87 inches) using a secure clamping band installation.

If your application requires the direct-insertion modular version, you can select from a comprehensive lineup of industry-standard hygienic interfaces. Available options include Tri-Clamp (ISO 28850/DIN 32676), DIN 11851, Varivent, Ingold sockets (which are ideal for fermenter connections), Neumo BioControl, and spherical weld-in sleeves.

The SITRANS TS300 clamp-on version is engineered to reliably measure process temperatures ranging from –40 °C to +150 °C (–40 °F to +302 °F). This broad thermal range comfortably covers typical cold processes as well as standard steam-in-place (SIP) sterilization cycles.

Yes. To support the most efficient heat transfer between your process pipe and the sensor, we highly recommend applying a thermo-lubricant to the silver measuring element just before mounting the device. Additionally, because it mounts externally, you never have to calculate or worry about maximum nominal pressure loads affecting the sensor body.
