SIMATIC ET 200SP makes safety-related applications very easy. The safety modules for digital inputs (DI) and digital outputs (DO) are the same size as the standard modules. Their functional safety is certified in accordance with EN 61508.

The SIMATIC ET 200SP IO-Link Master enables consistent storage of IO-Link device and master parameters. This makes it possible to swap modules—whether master or device—without a programming device and without backing up the data. With SIMATIC ET 200SP stations, hot swapping is also possible for multiple modules (Multi Hot Swapping). This allows multiple modules to be removed and replaced simultaneously during operation.

The SIMATIC ET 200SP shielding concept covers the conductor, the terminal box, the backplane bus, and the PROFINET cable. It ensures the highest possible electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and improves signal quality.

With a height of approximately 115 mm, the system accommodates 16 channels with a single-wire connection (without AUX terminals). With a 3-wire connection and AUX terminals, the height is 140 mm for 8 channels. The depth is approximately 75 mm.
